How is the relationship equitable?

If my husband is a laborer will my equation be unbiased only if I am a laborer as well? I do not think so but isn’t this how modernization exactly puts it. Both of us are supposed to work and then come back and share housework. Housewives are frowned upon for wasting their skills.

I fear for the time when we might lose our originality just to seek equality.

I am a well-educated housewife. How do I seek balance in my relationship with my P.H.D Husband?

We were both married while we were studying. He chose to continue his studies to look after the family financially. I chose to look after our kids while staying at home. Now my kids are both of school-going age and I have restarted my professional journey.

Everyone keeps telling me that I made a huge professional sacrifice but I think that was the best thing I did for my kids and my self. I wouldn’t want to have it any other way.

To me an equitable relationship is being there for each other, making decisions together, and respecting each other's choices.
